The Aves Compartidas Environmental Education 5th grade curriculum focuses on migratory wetland birds through the use of an interdiciplinary project that allows students to become an expert on their very own bird.

Methods:
The Aves Compartidas 5th grade team has created a series of seven lesson plans focused on learning about wetland birds who migrate between Eugene, Oregon and Guanajuato, Mexico. These lesson plans are taught in both English and Spanish vocabulary and include a poster activity. The curriculum that we have developed allows students to create a project in the form of a 6 week long poster activity. This project includes visual, audio, and artistic means of learning.
